DEBORAH TARTELL, Founding Conductor and Musical Director

Deborah Tartell has over 40 years of experience as a public school choral director, musical theater director, and private voice and piano teacher. Her career as a high school choral director included conducting the renowned Moorestown High School Madrigal Singers as well as teaching vocal music in prestigious Bronxville and Roslyn public school districts. Deborah worked as Musical Director and orchestral pianist for the Drama Club at Great Neck North Middle School. She has also served as a NYSSMA adjudicator, and students in her private studio have been accepted into All-State and All County Chorus, received leading roles in school musical theater and opera productions, and have been admitted to conservatory programs at Juilliard School of Music and Manhattan School of Music. Deborah is a member of the Zamir Chorale.
